Two Men Threw Bottles, Pulled Knife On Three People Along South Jersey Riverfront: Police

Two Cumberland County men were accused of assaulting three people on the Bridgeton riverfront, authorities said.

Geovanni Justice of Bridgeton and Christopher Perez of Vineland were arrested, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Sept. 30. Officers responded to a report of an active fight on the riverfront at around 2:17 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Investigators said Justice and Perez threw rocks and bottoms at the three victims. The two men also pulled out a knife at one point in the fight.

Perez and Justice were taken into custody and brought to Bridgeton police headquarters. They were charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Justice, 20, was held at Cumberland County Jail, and Perez, 25, was released to await court dates.
